Longwood's Counseling And Psychological Services (CAPS) is pleased to offer formal, comprehensive testing for Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Learning Disorders.
Testing is provided by Licensed Clinical Psychologists and supervised Counseling And Psychological Services providers. This team coordinates with various services across campus, such as the Office of Disability Resources, as appropriate and only with the signed consent of the student.
Testing typically involves more than one appointment and involves additional fees, which vary based on the specific services needed. These fees are substantially lower than found with community providers. While the Counseling And Psychological Services is unable to take insurance at this time, we would be happy to help fill out reimbursement paperwork.
The testing package necessary will be determined by meeting with the Testing Coordinator and filling out a questionnaire regarding attentional habits, academic performance, and family history.
Testing Prices are as follows:
Full ADHD/LD Battery: $500
What do the tests include?
The Full ADHD/LD Battery will include most or all of the following: a thorough interview, completion of questionnaires, review of outside information (e.g. report cards, academic transcripts, previous IEPs or tests, questionnaires completed by family or close friends), and standardized one-on-one testing. After you complete this process, you will be provided with a comprehensive report and in-depth feedback and recommendations.
LD-only Testing will include the following: a thorough interview, review of previous records (such as IEPs) and one-on-one testing. After you complete the process, you will be provided with a report and in-depth feedback and recommendations.
