Student Programs & Services

 

The programs and services offered by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion are designed to assist students with their social and academic development as they matriculate throughout their collegiate career at Longwood University. The Office of Diversity and Inclusion will accomplish this mission by offering the following student programs and services:

  • A.S.K. Tutoring Program - A new initiative designed to provide individualized academic assistance to ethnic and racial minority students who may be experiencing difficulty in the core areas of math, science, and or English.

 

  • C.L.A.S.S. Mentors- A program that will pair multicultural upper-class students with 1st year and transfer students in a mentor, men-tee relationship. The mentors help the new and transfer multicultural Longwood students' successful transition into the campus community

 

  • GET ON THE BUS: Graduate School Tours- A program designed to expose LU multicultural students to graduate school opportunities at universities around the Southeast region.
