Professor Alvarez

Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie (in Spanish)

"It is still my favorite and now my son likes it in both English and Spanish."

"This book brought the reader to new worlds besides your home on earth. In addition, because it promotes creativity and imagination."

Dr Buckalew

 Reptiles and Amphibians

"It is not my favorite book anymore. I would choose Danny Kaye's Around the World Story Book because it presents stories, legends, and myths from countries all over the world. Its stories illustrate how much children are alike all around the world-- and theoretically, if more children come to know this, it may improve chances for future cooperation as these kids mature. It seems as if my generation either did not read this book or did not mature."

Dr. Ferguson

Little Hank the Handcar

"This is still my favorite book"

"All of the trains and Hank had faces and I thought it would be great fun to have a railroad handcar and go traveling like in the book"

Dr. A. Fink

The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams, Books by Beverly Clearly

Mr. Bell's Fix-It Shop, The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis.

"The Velveteen Rabbit is not my favorite anymore. It was too sad. As for the other books, I have not read them in eons, so they are not favorites anymore. I have a strange fondness for Harry Potter."

"I have always had a strong affinity for animals. I think I was particularly fond of the Velveteen Rabbit because I had a stuffed rabbit (which I still have) that went everywhere with me."

Dr. M. Fink

James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl

"It is still my favorite but I also like The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis and  Gulliver's Travels, by Jonathan Swift, now."

"I always enjoyed books about animals and fantastical creatures and also stories about traveling and far-away places. James and the Giant Peach combined both of these elements."

Dr. Friedman

Fat Men From Space by Daniel Manus Pinkwater

"It was outlandish and the premise was creative.  It is still my favorite book."

Ms. Hodgson

Horton Hears A Who by Dr. Seuss

"It is still my favorite and I have added The Lorax (also by Dr. Suess) to the #1 spot as well."

"This book teaches valuable lessons about respect, loyalty, and being open to new ideas. As a child though, I just really liked Horton!"

Dr. Hooks

Go Dog Go by P.D. Eastman

"I don't know why this was my favorite book"

Dr. Palombella

Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak

"It is still my favorite book, though for a different reason. I too want to be where someone loves me best of all."

Dr. Ross

The Billy Goats Gruff, a Norwegian folktale

"It is not my favorite book anymore.  Good Night Moon has replaced it because  it is cozy."

"I like The Billy Goats Gruff because it was scary."

Dr. Twombley

Planes For Bob and Andy

"It is still my favorite book. I wish I could find a copy, I would like to read it again"

"It was about adventure and flying"
