At Upchurch Soza Ballroom
Organized by
Office of Multicultural Affairs
The Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) is dedicated to developing, educating, empowering, challenging, and supporting historically marginalized and underrepresented student populations by promoting a healthy, socially just, ethically engaged, and inclusive community of citizen leaders poised with the skills necessary to transform their communities and the world.
OMA, the Longwood Chapter of NAACP, as well as other multicultural organizations are hosting an event that encourages underrepresented first-year and transfer students to meet others and know they have a home away from home. OMA provides a safe and open environment, in the Upchurch Soza Ballroom, where students can drop by to talk with students and staff, allowing them to feel included and supported during their transition into University life.
Longwood University has many clubs, organizations as well as many fraternities and sororities for new students to get involved in. This mixer is to introduce opportunities to students as they enjoy music, entertainment, and light refreshments.
