“The Impacts of Disaster on Women”
Tracie Giles, Emergency Management Coordinator
Greenwood Library 209 A & B

Disasters occur around the world, in many different places and among many populations.  One common factor among these places and populations is that women are more likely to be negatively affected by disaster.  Women are more likely to die during disaster than men and women are more likely to experience domestic and sexual violence during and following disaster.  Please join us as Tracie Giles examines the vulnerabilities andissues women face in disasters and emergency situations.

Faculty, please encourage student attendance for this event.

The programs are free and open to all LU campus and Farmville community members.  We look forward to seeing you at this event.
