About Us

Welcome to the Student Health and Wellness Center! We are located in the New Health and Fitness Center!

We are located on the top floor of the building. Enter from the outside entrance on the South face of the building through doors marked "Counseling Center and Health and Wellness Center"

In our office, you'll be seen by advanced practice clinicians (nurse practitioners, and physician assistants) that assess and treat many common acute health conditions affecting the college health population, which may also be seen in a family physician's office. In Virginia, Advanced Practice Clinicians can prescribe medications.

We also have a health educator that serves as our Wellness Coordinator. This individual can provide advice and education on issues such as stress, sexual health, tobacco use/smoking cessation, nutrition and exercise, and other issues related to college health promotion and education.
