Removing Courses From Your Blackboard List

For your delete request, we prefer not to delete course content any longer as we’re trying to keep content for 2 years now.

For Instructors:

We recommend the following:

Go to

CONTROL PANEL > SETTINGS > COURSE NAME AND DESCRIPTION

Put a Z in front of the Course Name. Since the My Courses section sorts alphabetically, they sort to the bottom of the list. Usually, this is for old courses from previous semesters that you want access to, but not all the time.

Making the course unavailable only keeps the students from seeing the course.

For Anyone:

Usually courses from the previous term are made unavailable within 1-2 weeks of the beginning of the next term.

If you don't want to see courses in your list all together, we also recommend using the pencil icon in the top right corner of the My Courses panel on the "My Classes" (main) tab and you can uncheck the courses that you do not want to be displayed. Also, if you are an instructor, you can come back in and turn them back on so you can view them at any time.
