Network Tips

A computer MUST have a valid IP (Internet Protocol) address to communicate on the Longwood University Network. Each time a computer connects to LancerNet the DHCP (Dynamic Host Control Protocol) server assigns that computer an IP address. If you are having problems connecting to the network, here are some tips.

*Verify that your network cable is securely connected to both your computer’s network card and the network jack.
*If you have a desktop computer, see if the lights on the network adapter are active.
*If you continue to have problems, please contact your RTA.
