Internet & Web

Wireless Network

This exciting technology provides the Longwood community with cutting edge technology, mobility, and convenience. Wireless technology will allow faculty, staff, and students with a laptop computer to connect to the Internet without attaching a cable to a network port as they would in their room or office. Users of the wireless network have the ability to surf the Internet and send and receive email from locations like the patio of the Student Union, the lounge in the Library, and even the fountain at Brock Commons! Visit the Wireless Network companion site for help and FAQ about our wireless network.

Student Web Pages

Longwood uses WebDav as the method for publishing and editing student files on the web. Briefly, WebDAV stands for "Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning". It is a set of extensions to the HTTP protocol which allows users to collaboratively edit and manage files on remote web servers. View our WebDav Help Documents for information on how to publish to your student webspace.
