YOUR LONGWOOD UNIVERSITY LancerNet Service
Longwood University offers its resident students one analog service telephone line per room. Your phone number will be communicated to you prior to your arrival on campus through the Office of Residential and Commuter Life. Your phone number will change when you change dorm rooms on campus, but your Personal Billing Numbers (PBN’s) will remain the same throughout your time at Longwood unless it is reported lost or stolen. Your name and telephone number will be listed with the Longwood University operators unless a request to restrict the information has been made. Any requests regarding unlisted numbers should initially be made to the Registrar’s Office. A fee of $10 will be charged to replace PBNs that are lost or stolen. Please contact User Support Service if you feel someone may have unauthorized access to your PBN.
Longwood provides service to the phone ports
in each room. However, each student is responsible for supplying and maintaining
his or her own personal telephone. Repair service on the ports can be requested
through Longwood University User Support Services at #4357.
Upon checkout, occupants of a room will be billed for any repair of
damaged jacks at the rate of $10 per jack (phone,
TV, Network).
A Personal Billing Number (PBN) is assigned throughout your continued enrollment. After you have signed for your personal billing number, (click here to review and print your PBN form) it will be activated for every session you attend. If you have lost, misplaced or cannot remember your PBN, come to User Support Services, Coyner basement with your ID.
PBN Uses:
1. Long distance access
2. FAX Transmission @ USS
When you graduate, withdraw and are no longer enrolled, your PBN and all access to Longwood technology resources will be deleted. For details or questions, please contact User Support Services, Coyner Building Basement, Longwood University, 201 High Street, Farmville, VA
