Office 2007 Information:
If you are interested in the
changes offered in Microsoft Office 2007, and thinking
about making a switch to
the new software, we suggest
that you take the proper steps to successfully make the
transition. The new
interface has some radical
differences from what you currently use in Office 2003.
Also, file formats have
changed, so be prepared to
handle compatibility issues during the period of time
when both Office 2003
and Office 2007 are in use on
campus. Please note that some Longwood faculty
members are
currently using Office 2003 and that special
steps must be taken to ensure that Office 2003
users can
open a file created in Office 2007. To download the
Microsoft Office Compatibility
Pack
please

substantially more system resources than
Office 2003. If
you have an older machine you may not be able to
successfully run Office 2007. System requirements are
