American Historical Association Internships in Washington, D.C.

The American Historical Association generally sponsors a very limited number of internships at the national headquarters every summer.  These internships are a unique opportunity for any student in public history.  Being an intern with the AHA is quite prestigious as it is the nation's oldest historical association.  The three Longwood student interns who worked there during 1999 did so well that the AHA has decided to pay their interns beginning in the summer 2000. Students interested in this opportunity should contact Dr. Deborah Welch at dwelch@longwood.edu
