Program Requirements

    To participate in the Honors program and graduate “with Honors,” students must successfully complete eight honors courses, three of which must be at the 300-level or above. To remain in the Longwood Honors Program students must retain a 3.25 GPA in all Honors courses and an overall GPA of 3.25. The GPA is computed at the end of each academic year. Please note that even if the required 3.25 GPA is attained in both Honors and other courses, students will be considered inactive in the Honors Program if they fail to complete Honors courses for two consecutive semesters. Students should also remember that professional semesters will occupy one academic semester in which Honors courses cannot be taken.
