Exercise Science :  Advising

New students will be assigned an advisor upon admittance to the Exercise Science program. Every student should develop a program of study with his/her advisor when starting the program. All freshman students are required to meet with their assigned advisor prior to class registration during their first year of study. All students are encouraged to make an appointment with assigned advisors before registration and to meet regularly with advisors.

The advising resources below are provided to help students organize and track their academic progress. The Exercise Science Program was revised for the class entering in Fall 2002. The courses and program requirements information below reflect this update. All students should continue to follow the guidelines in place upon the year of his or her acceptance to Longwood University.

To earn the Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with major in exercise science, students must complete a minimum of 124 credit hours. For a complete list of all required courses, click here.
