Naturally, you probably have many questions about how to prepare for your time at Longwood, and what you will be expected to do when you arrive. This website should help you find answers to these questions.
Airport Pick-up and Drop-off Dates
International Students are encouraged to take advantage of the free transportation to Longwood University to and from Richmond International Airport (RIC) that is provided at the beginning and end of each semester. If you wish to use this transportation, you must arrive at Richmond International Airport on the scheduled arrival date and send your flight information to Patti Trent (email@example.com), Director of International Student Services, at least one month in advance. The 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 academic year schedules are below:
Arrival: Monday, August 19
Departure: Saturday, December 14
Arrival: Wednesday, January 8
Departure: Saturday, May 3
Arrival: Monday, August 18
Departure: Saturday, December 13
Arrival: Wednesday, January 7
Departure: Saturday, May 2
- You cannot arrive in the United States after the program start date on your I-20 or DS-2019 unless you receive a letter of approval from Longwood University!
- You have a 30-day grace period after the end date listed on your DS-2019 (or 60 days if you have an I-20) during which you may remain in the United States on your student visa.
