Viewing Documents From Blackboard With Office XP

The way Office XP views office files like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access is different that it was with Office 2000.  This difference tries to make another connection to Blackboard by re-authenticating, but it will not work even if you type your password in again.

The solution:

Right click on the link to the file and choose to Save Target As (if using Internet Explorer) or Save Link Target As (if using Netscape).  Choose a spot on your computer where you will be able to find the file later, like on your Desktop.
