Procedure for Requesting Administrative Rights
The procedure is as follows:
1) The supervisor (manager/director/chair) will send an email to helpdesk@longwood.edu requesting access to the administrative account for the Longwood employee(s). The email will include the name(s) and LancerNet ID(s) of the employee(s) for whom the request is being made. Note: per the University Access Policy (#6105), users may not request access for themselves.
2) An information sheet will be left at the desk of each employee who has been granted access advising them that the account has been set up and directing them to User Support Services to pick up their administrative account employee packet. The employee packet will include the user ID and password for the administrative account and a copy of the Administrative Account Usage Standard. The Administrative Account Usage Standard outlines the requirements for use of the administrative account. All users of administrative accounts will be held to the Administrative Account Usage Standard.
3) Employees with access to administrative accounts will be required to review and agree to the Administrative Account Usage Standard annually in the Managed Ongoing Awareness Tools (MOAT) training available online.
