American Stock Exchange- Daily market summaries, news and other information available.

 

Edgar Database of Corporate Information- Information submitted by about 3/4 of corporations registered with the SEC. 

 

Guide to Understanding Financials- Provided by IBM. A useful guide to the content of financial statements in companies annual reports.

 

Investors Edge- A place to get stock quotes, news on current market conditions, various indices, and much  other information. Of particular interest is the ability to create a portfolio which will be tracked by InvestorsEdge.

  

The Nasdaq Stock Market Home Page- Charts, quotes, company news items, indices, etc.

 

New York Stock Exchange- Choose the 'Education' selection on the menu to find the 'Interactive Education Center'.  

 

Philadelphia Stock Exchange- News items and other info re services offered as well as "Education" link that leads to an order form for free publications. 

 

QuoteCom Ticker Symbols for Stocks- Describes how symbols are assigned and their meaning (See Nasdaq, for example).

 

Securities & Exchange Commission- Current news, Edgar, news digests & public statements, rulemaking, etc.

 

Security APL Quote Server- Main attraction is a 15' delayed security price quotation mechanism but there are other interesting links including "News and Research" and "Ticker Search" (use to search for ticker symbols.).

 

StockMaster Stock Charts- Data on price and volume performance of over 450 stocks; free account needed to track a portfolio.
