VOLUNTEER

Volunteers Make a Difference at LCVA

During the 2006-2007 academic year, nearly 200 members of the Farmville community made outstanding and important contributions to the LCVA, offering their time, effort, and expertise.  The LCVA and the communities in the nine counties it serves benefit tremendously.

Volunteer opportunities vary from weekly commitments to service on standing committees to one-time occasions, assisting with a particular event or project.

Others are welcome to join in the vibrant work of the LCVA, with tasks ranging from manning the front desk to preparing for family workshops to arranging flowers. State workers are granted up to sixteen hours of paid leave per year to assist nonprofit groups like the LCVA.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the LCVA at 434-395-2206.
