“More!  We want more!”  That was the reaction of participants in the January community workshop led by Palmyra artist Edith Anderson Feisner, who spoke at the LCVA about color theory.  So the LCVA and Central Virginia Artists have arranged for Mrs. Feisner to return for a second workshop, this time discussing “Color and the Principles of Design.”  In the morning, Mrs. Feisner will discuss rhythm, balance, proportion, scale, emphasis, and harmony – and color’s role in creating good design.

After a break for lunch (not included in the cost of the workshop), participants may choose to bring in works of their own creation for a critique session.  If time allows, participants will set up their easels or workstations and create their own art, with opportunities to consult individually with Mrs. Feisner.  Participants should bring their own materials.

Author of Color Studies and other art books,Edith Anderson Feisner is an award-winning needlework instructor, writer, and a retired professor of art at Montclair State University.  Her own artworks have been exhibited in group and solo shows, and she is represented in the permanent collections of the Valentine Museum, Matthews International, Martha Jefferson Hospital, and Jaunt, Inc., as well as in numerous private collections.
