LONGWOOD UNIVERSITY ART DEPARTMENT

UNIVERSITY
PROGRAMS

OFFERING STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND STAFF OPPORTUNITIES

Supported in part by Longwood University, the LCVA offers many opportunities for faculty, staff, and students to connect with the visual arts, whether on campus, at the LCVA facility, through special lectures and events, or by offering special enhancements such as tours for classes.

One of the most immediate services to the Longwood community is the LCVA's commitment to displaying art not only in its galleries, but throughout the campus, through such avenues as the Brock Commons Outdoor Sculpture Program, the LCVA's commitment to displaying art on campus, and through the LCVA's campus loan program, through which individuals may select quality art for their offices.

In addition, the Longwood community is welcome at all LCVA events, such as lectures, exhibition openings, or other special events.

Other opportunities include:
Art for Lunch lectures
The Gen Ed Film Series, typically shown at the LCVA
Special tours for university classes and groups
Internships for Longwood students
Volunteer offerings for students
