New Student Leadership Program
Pack your bags! You're going on an adventure!
September 1-3rd, 2012
The New Student Leadership Program gives you a chance to get away from campus and spend time with new students. During NSLP students will spend time exploring what it means to be a Longwood Lancer, while gaining valuable leadership experience. By participating in the program, students will develop specific leadership skills and become more aware of their own unique leadership styles. This program makes the transition to college life easier as student begin to chart their course as citizen leaders!
NSLP takes place at Triple C Camp in Charlottesville, VA. The weekend includes lots of low- and high- ropes activities, a chance to meet and get to know other students including our own Student Educators for Active Leadership (S.E.A.L.) and plenty of "down time" for students to explore the camp and relax!
New Students can learn more about the New Student Leadership Program at summer orientation! Just look for our booth at the Campus Resource Fair or by calling 434-395-2685.
Please note: There is a cost for first-year students to participate in NSLP, however financial aid is sometimes available for student who qualify. For more information please contact the Leadership and Civic Engagement Office at 434-395-2685.
