Spring Leadership Conference:  Serving Those Who Serve

Come out to Longwood University at 11:00 on April 1, 2006 and join the Student Educators for Active Leadership in recognizing those who serve.  The day will begin with a lecture from Sgt. Larry Provost.  The day will conclude in the organization of care packages for soldiers on active duty and the creation of get well cards (Wounded Warrior Project) for those soldiers injured while serving the country. 

11:00 a.m.- Sgt. Larry Provost
The morning session will feature our very special guest Sgt. Larry Provost who has served with the Army Reserves in Iraq, Afghanistan, and was present at the September 11th attack on the World Trade Center.  Please join us at 11:00 a.m. on April 1, 2006 in the Lankford Student Union, ABC Rooms to hear Sgt. Provost deliver his inspiring message.

1:00 p.m.- Construct Care Packages and Create Cards for the Wounded Warrior Project
Join us in the afternoon to construct care packages for soldiers on active duty and create cards for injured soldiers as part of the Wounded Warrior Project.  We invite local school students, members of the Farmville and surrounding areas, Longwood students, organizations, clubs, faculty, and staff to participate in this auspicious day.
