The following policy applies to use of the Greenwood Library public computers by non-Longwood patrons during summer 2005 (May 10– August 26).
- Patrons 12 years of age and younger must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian.
- Each community user is allowed up to 30 minutes of computer use. If no other community user is waiting for a computer when your time is up, you may continue to use the computer until someone else requests it.
- At the discretion of the staff member on duty, up to 20 concurrent community users may use the Library’s computers. Community users may be asked to relinquish Internet workstations to Longwood faculty, students, or staff at any time. See the Community Use Policy for Library Workstations for the full policy.
- The left side of the Library (next to the music CDs) will be designated for Longwood students while the right side will be designated for community users.
- All Library patrons are expected to conduct themselves in a responsible manner in accordance with the Library’s Disruptive Patron Policy.
On August 29th, the Library will resume our normal policy:
- Computer use is limited to 3 community users at any given time. Any user may be asked to show valid Longwood identification.
- Each community user is allowed up to 30 minutes of computer use. If no other community user is waiting for a computer when your time is up, you may continue to use the computer until someone else requests it.
- Only one community user may be on a computer at a time.
- Community users may be asked to relinquish Internet workstations to Longwood faculty, students, or staff at any time. See the Community Use Policy for Library Workstations for the full policy.
