All community users must sign up at the Information Desk to use the Library’s Internet workstations.
You will be required to record your name and start time of usage. A staff member will direct you to an available workstation.
- Due to the increased demand for Internet workstations, their use is limited to three community users at any given time. Any user may be asked to show valid Longwood identification.
- Community Internet workstation use is available on a first-come, first serve basis.
- Each community user is allowed up to 30 minutes of Internet workstation use. If no other community user is waiting for a computer when your time is up, you may continue to use the workstation until someone else requests it.
- Only one community user may be on an Internet workstation at a time.
- Community users may be asked to relinquish Internet workstations to Longwood faculty, students, or staff at any time.
The purpose of the sign-up is to gather and compile daily operational statistics. As the Library does not retain Internet sign-in logs, they are to be discarded after recording necessary numeric data.
