Interlibrary Borrowing Policy

Purpose

Interlibrary loan supports the missions of both Greenwood Library and Longwood University. Greenwood Library provides Interlibrary Loan services for Longwood University faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students who are in good standing with the Library, to enable them to request books and copies of journal articles not available in the Library collection or officially declared missing.

Scope

Greenwood Library adheres to the guidelines of the American Library Association’s National Interlibrary Loan Code for the United States (and Canada), 1993 (http://www.ala.org/rusa/ILL_Code) and to the guidelines for international lending. Greenwood Library complies with all provisions of the U.S. Copyright Law.

Policies for Borrowing Materials Not in Greenwood Library

The following applies to on-campus, online and distance education students and faculty, as well as to current Longwood University employees. See the Interlibrary Loan FAQ for information about how to place a request.
