The following printing policy is strictly enforced for Longwood students, faculty, staff, and non-Longwood users in the Library:
- Information and Instructional Technology Services (IITS) provides registered students with a quota of 150 pages of free black and white printing each semester. Summer printing quotas are limited to 75 free pages for all registered students.
- At the beginning of each semester (Fall, Spring, Summer sessions), each user will start with the appropriate fresh quota. This quota expires on the last day of examinations for that semester. Quotas do not carry over to the next semester.
- When the 150 page quota is exhausted, the user will be billed for printing at $.09 cents per page through the campus telemanagement system. This system generates a bill and sends it to the student's address. The user has 30 days to pay this bill.
- Faculty may print from all Library printers using a department ID card. Please check with your department's secretary to obtain a card.
- Only Library-provided paper may be used in the Library. User-provided paper (color, heavy weight paper, card stock, etc.) will damage Library printers and is not permitted.
Non-Longwood Users Printing in the Library
As of August 1, 2006, all patrons will need a current Longwood identification card for all computer-related printing. Copy card computer printing will no longer be available. Community patrons may save files to floppy disks, zip disks or USB storage devices; save to the workstation's public folder and email as an attachment; or burn to a CD.
Print Quotas and Printing Policy
The purpose of this printing policy is to control printing costs, conserve resources, and still allow flexibility for users to print their academic assignments.
