What is RefWorks?

RefWorks is a web-based tool in which you can automatically create bibliographies in all major styles (APA, MLA, etc.) by directly or indirectly importing citations from any of the library's databases. For optimal performance, use of Internet Explorer version 5.0 or later is recommended. RefWorks is restricted to students, faculty and staff at Longwood University.

Before You Can Get Started . . . Creating Your Account

You must set up your own RefWorks account. To do so, go to the RefWorks User Login page and click “Sign up for an individual account.” You will need to enter the following information to create your account:

Once you have your individual account set up, you can start building and using your own citations database. To use RefWorks off-campus, you will be required to enter your LancerNet ID and password first.
