After you follow the steps below, a new window will open at the RefWorks login page. Enter your RefWorks username and password. The citations that you just exported will be in the “Last Imported” folder. If the RefWorks login does not appear, check to be sure that you have pop-ups enabled, or open a new window and login to RefWorks.

ABC-Clio
- Check the “Tagged” box to mark the records that you would like to save.
- Click the “Export Options” button.
- Choose “RefWorks United States.”
- Click the “Export records ” button.
ACS Journals (American Chemical Society)
- Select the citations you would like to save.
- Click "Download Selected Citations" or "Download to Citation Manager."
- Select "Citation" or "Citation and Abstract" for type of download.
- Choose "RefWorks" as citation manager format.
- Click the "Download" button.
- Click the "Export to RefWorks" button.
Chadwyck-Healy (Periodicals Index Online)
- Mark the records that you would like to save.
- Click the "Marked List" link.
- Click "Download Selected Citations".
- Click "Export Directly to Refworks".
CQ Press
- Select the article or report you want to save.
- Click “Cite Now.”
- In the “Export citation to:” dropdown menu, select Refworks.
CSA ( Cambridge Scientific Abstracts)
- Mark the records that you would like to save.
- Click the “Save, Print, Email” button at the top of the screen.
- Choose “Full format” from the dropdown menu.
- Choose a bibliographic style.
- Click the “Export to RefWorks” button at the bottom of the screen.
EBSCOhost
- Click the “Add (to folder)” icon to mark the records you would like to save.
- Click “Folder” at the top of the screen.
- Click “Export.”
- Select “Direct Export to RefWorks.”
- Click the “Save” button.
FirstSearch (OCLC)
- Mark the records you would like to save.
- Click the “Export” icon above the citation list.
- Select RefWorks for “Export to:”
- Click the “Export” button.
Gale Powersearch
- Mark the records you would like to save.
- Click the "Marked Items" link at the top of the page.
- Click the "Citation Tools " link in the Tools pane on the left. A new window will open.
If there is no Tools pane on the left, click the "How to Cite Marked Items" link above the items or the "How to cite" graphic under the individual item.
- Select RefWorks for "Export to third party software."
- Click the"Export" button.
JSTOR
- Click "Export this citation" for one article.
- Click the "RefWorks" link.
LexisNexis Academic
- Mark the records you would like to save.
- Click the "Export Bibiliographic References " button (small open book beside the print, email, and save buttons).
- Click the red "Export" button at the bottom of the pop-up.
Ovid
- Mark the records you would like to save.
- Click "Results Manager" on the left near the results display.
- Select "Direct Export" in the Results Format column.
- Click the "Save" button.
- Select "Export results to RefWorks."
- Click the "Continue" button.
Project Muse
- Mark the records you would like to save.
- Click “Save Marked Results” at the top of the screen.
- Click on “Email/Export Saved Results.”
- Select RefWorks for “Export marked results to:”
- Click “Export.”

- Mark the records you would like to save.
- Click the “My Research” tab at the top of the screen.
- Click “Export citations.”
- Click “Export Directly to RefWorks.”
