Selected sculpture and painting by renowned artist Dorothy Gillespie will be shown at the Longwood Center for the Visual Arts (LCVA) Sept. 25 ­ Nov. 6. The LCVA is located at the corner of Main and Third Streets in historic downtown Farmville. The galleries are open to the public Monday ­ Saturday, 11 ­ 5 p.m.
     In celebration of the Barbara L. Bishop Distinguished Lecture Series in the Visual Arts, Dorothy Gillespie will speak on Thursday, October 7, 1999 at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Bedford Art Building of Longwood College.
