Celebrating $33 Million +
The Campaign for Longwood was ended one year early on June 30, 2003, with more than $33 million in contributions. With a finale set to coincide with the dedication of Brock Commons in the fall of 2003, the campaign faced one more obstacle – the weather – more rain than normal and then Hurricane Isabel.
So on April 24, 2004, the third anniversary of the Great
Fire of 2001, Longwood dedicated Brock Commons and celebrated a successful campaign. Fundraising is about friend-raising – friends who are willing to invest in Longwood's mission, goals and future. And successful
friend-raising deserves a celebration.
We knew we could with the right friends ...
