The Longwood College Alumni Association plans events for alumni, representing all class years, to come meet other graduates of Longwood and have a good time. It's an opportunity to network, see "old" friends, and reminisce about your alma mater. Alumni are encouraged to bring their non-alumni friends as well.

Several alumni, friends, and guests have attended recent events, including an Eastern Shore Alumni Dinner, minor league baseball games in Norfolk, Richmond, Salem, and Woodbridge, a financial investing workshop in Fairfax, a trip to Las Vegas, Ingleside Winery Tour in Oak Grove, and a Richmond Renegades hockey game.

The complete 2001 alumni event calendar can be seen on the Alumni Association web site at www.longwood.edu (click on alumni). You may register using the web site, calling 1.800.281.4677 Extension 3, or e-mailing lcalumni@longwood.edu.

Upcoming Alumni Events Include...

Washington Capitals hockey game on March 17.

Reception at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond on March 29 with Don Lemish, athletic director, speaking about Longwood's NCAA Division I status and David Harnage, executive vice president for administration and Finance, talking about Longwood's current and future construction plans;

Dinner at Jillian's Restaurant in Norfolk on April 5 with Dr. Jim Jordan, professor of anthropology, discussing his trip to Africa with seven Prince Edward County High School students and the resulting impact on Longwood.
