The Longwood College
Legislative Advocacy Network
Longwood is establishing
a Legislative Advocacy Network to
gain support for public higher education in the Commonwealth and
specifically for Longwood's legislative initiatives. This grassroots
effort will be composed of alumni and friends who support higher
education and the mission and vision of Longwood College.
You can help
break through an attitude of apathy toward higher education across
the Commonwealth by participating in the Legislative Advocacy
Network. Because legislators do listen to their constituents,
your contacts can be invaluable in encouraging stronger support
for Longwood and its programs.

North To Alaska
Twenty-one Longwood
alumni and guests cruised Alaska's Inside Passage aboard
Royal Carribean's 'Vision of the Seas'. Leaving from Vancouver
on June 24,
the ship traveled through Hubbard Glacier and Misty Fjords
National Park and
stopped in Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan for inland excursions
and sightseeing before returning to Vancouver on July
1.

Upcoming Alumni Events and Activities
Longwood alumni
events and activities coming up this fall include: Oktoberfest,
Homecoming Reunion for Classes of the 1970s,
Baltimore Orioles Baseball, Gold Cup Horse Races, and a
New York City Trip, including tickets to the Lion King. In the
spring, activities will consist of a D-Day Memorial Tour, Wine
Tour, Spring Weekend, and much more.
