1. How should my mail be addressed?

All student mail should be addressed as follows:

Do not include your dorm or room number as part of the address!

2. How can I send on campus mail?

All on campus mail is delivered free of charge and should contain the

following information:

(Student's full name)

(Student's Box #)

Your return address and date mailed

3.When can I pickup my mail?

All mail is usually in the student boxes by 9:00 AM

Packages and signature required mail can be picked up at the window between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. Closed on Saturday and Sunday.

 

4. How do I mail a package?

  Bring your package to the Longwood Post Office sales counter located on the ground floor of Lankford Building adjacent to the Lancer Cafe'. We will give you several options and prices to compare and even make suggestions if you like. We do not have packaging for sale, but occasionally have "used" packaging donated to us by students, to give away. We accept cash and personal checks made out to Longwood University. Sorry, no credit or debit cards at this time.

 

5. Can I buy stamps  at the University Post Office?

 Yes! We offer a wide selection of commemorative stamps, booklets, rolls, and just about anything else you can get from the USPS except Registered Mail, Delivery Confirmation and money orders. You also have the option to use UPS for express or ground service.

 

6. Do I keep the same mailbox year after year?

  As long as you are a residential student, your campus box number remains the same. If you choose to move off campus, you must forfeit your mailbox and furnish the Registrar's Office with your new local address.

 Mail delivery service for the residents of Lancer Park and Longwood Village is provided by the US Postal Service and is located at 301 East Third Street in Farmville.

Longwood University Post Office window hours are Monday -Friday 11:00 AM- 4:00 PM closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Longwood University Mail Services office hours are Monday -Friday 8:00AM -5:00 PM
