Small, Women-Owned and Minority-Owned (SWaM) Businesses

The Commonwealth has instituted new requirements for Small, Women-Owned and Minority-Owned (SWaM) businesses.  Purchases up to $50,000 shall be set-aside for small businesses, if available.  You can use the NIGP Commodity Code/Description to find a SWaM vendor on the Department of Minority Business Enterprise (DMBE) website, http://www.dmbe.virginia.gov/cgi-bin/search.cgi.
