Interactive Computer-Based Math Teaching Tools Download Page
Hosts: Ronald McPherson and Velma Tyson

Welcome to the download center. This page is inspired by the papers "Creating Your Own Interactive Computer-Based Algebra Teaching Tools: A NO Programming Zone" published in Contemportary Issues in Technology and Teacher Education and "Building Persnalized Interactive Computer-Based Non-Linear Algebra Tutorials" published in the NCTM Mathematics Teacher Journal (May 2007) by Drs. Ron McPherson (Longwood University) and Velma Tyson (University of the Virgin Islands). The purpose of this web site is to act as a clearing house for contributed tools. The links below can be used to download zip archive files that contain submitted tools. They have been submitted by both the paper authors and other interested parties. If after using any of these tools you are motivated to create your own interactive tools please see the papers for help. The papers detail instructions for creating interactive mathematics teaching tools using common spreadsheet applications. No programming is required to create any of these tools. Then please share your tool by submitting it for posting by emailing the tool as an attachment to Ron McPherson at mcphersonrf@longwood.edu. Please, so proper credit may be given, include in the email your contact information, the purpose of the tutorial, and the type of spreadsheet used.

The archives below contain the tools listed. The author, spreadsheet type used, and submission date are given for each tutorial listed in an archive. You will need a copy of WINZIP to extract the tools from each archive. We the authors of this web site make no claim as to the correctness of any of these tools or what they may do to your computer. Each submitted spreadsheet tool was scanned with MaAfee and F-Prot anti-virus programs before including them in the archive. It is highly recommended that you virus scan any archive downloaded before extracting files from it, and in addition virus scan the files extracted before using them. Using any of these interactive tools is at your own risk.
