Welcome/About Us

The Office of Multicultural Affairs works collaboratively to build an inclusive Intercultural Campus Community and prepare future Citizen Leaders able to contribute to the common good.

Intercultural implies a means by which the campus community takes ownership for advancing pluralism through collaborative and intentional actions in its curricular and co-curricular environments. Most importantly, intercultural implies people -- students, groups, faculty, and staff -- working together to create learning opportunities.

The Values Governing Membership
in a Democratic Society

Devotion to Human Dignity and Freedom
Equal Rights
Social and Economic Justice
The Rule of Law
Civility and Truth
Tolerance of Diversity
Mutual Assistance
Personal and Civil Responsibility
Self Restraint and Self Respect

In order for Learning Communities to develop
and the Spirit of a Citizen Leader to Emerge . . .
these "Values" must be taught, learned, and practiced
