Residential Assistants (RAs) Diversity Questionnaire:
- 25 out of 30 RAs believe that they have received adequate training on diversity
- 22 out of 30 RAs feel that they have an operational definition of diversity that they can relate to the residence hall or other students
- 26 out of 30 RAs feel that they received adequate notice of upcoming events
- 27 out of 30 RAs stated that they had initiated programs addressing diverse themes
- Ethnicity was ranked the number one program, followed by sexual orientation, and religion, genders
- 12 out of 30 RAs stated that they had attended programs sponsored by Multicultural Affairs.
- When asked about the biggest diversity challenges at Longwood, 18 RAs stated lack of interest, 16 RAs stated lack of diverse ideas, 12 RAs states lack of diverse students, 8 RAs stated lack of diverse faculty and lack of diverse staff
