SCORE REQUIREMENTS:

Praxis I * - Eentering the Teacher Education Program

Scores required to enter the teacher education program in Virginia are
Reading 178
Writing 176
Mathematics (calculators prohibited) 178
or, Composite Score 532

The score requirements are the same whether you take the exam with pencil and paper or electronically.

Praxis II - Applying for Licensure

Music - Vocal, Choral, or Instrumental (Pre-K-12)
Music: Content Knowledge (contains listening section) 160

* You may be exempt from the Praxis I requirement if your SAT scores meet or exceed all three of the following minimums:

verbal - 530
mathematical - 530
and a total of - 1100
