Music At Longwood - Cultivating Musical Leaders

Admission to the Graduate Program: Please call Kathy Charleston at 434.395.2255 or e-mail her at graduate@longwood.edu to request the application packet.  Be sure to let her know that you are applying for the music program, so that she can send you all the appropriate materials.

To qualify for admission to the program a student must meet all the standard graduate program qualifications and the following music requirements:

-Possess a recognized undergraduate degree in music or music education
-Submit a video of teaching or rehearsal (15-30 minutes -- VHS or DVD)
-Submit an essay on your teaching philosophy (Include this as part of the general admissions essay.)
