MyLongwood is Longwood University's web portal. Inside myLongwood, you will find news, announcements, and important information and announcements. Employees can look up personal information within myLongwood, and access Banner information. Students can register for classes, check grades and pay bills through the portal.

    • Question: How do I access the registration system in the myLongwood portal?
      • Answer: The portal is available at http://my.longwood.edu. The registration system is available on the Student tab in the Registration Tools channel in the portal.
    • Question: Will I have to have a user ID and password to access the myLongwood portal?
      • Answer: Yes, you will log on to the portal using your LancerNet ID and password.
    • Question: What functionality is available in the Registration Tools channel?
      • Answer: In the Registration Tools channel you can add or drop classes, look up classes, check your registration status, and view your schedule detail. Degree evaluations are available to all students but will be most accurate for students whose academic program is governed by the 2007 catalog. If you find a discrepancy in your evaluation contact your advisor or the registrarís office at (434) 395-2580.
    • Question: Will my registration information be sent to me in the mail?
      • Answer: No, your registration information will be available in the MyLongwood portal ONLY. This information WILL NOT be sent to you in the mail.
    • Question: Are instructions on how to use the registration functions in the portal available to me?
      • Answer: Yes, a video tutorial on general navigation and customization of the portal as well as one for registering for classes can be accessed on the Tutorial tab within the portal or in the General Support section of this website.
    • Question: Who do I contact if I have questions?
      • Answer: If you have questions concerning access to or functionality of the MyLongwood portal please contact User Support Services at (434) 395-4357 or email helpdesk@longwood.edu.     • Question: How do I access my financial aid information in the MyLongwood portal?
      • Answer: The portal is available at http://my.longwood.edu. You will find your financial aid information on the Student tab in the Financial Aid Info channel in the portal.

      • Answer: Yes, financial aid history beginning with the 2005-2006 aid year will be available in the portal.

    • Question: How do I access my student account information in the MyLongwood portal?
      • Answer: The portal is available at http://my.longwood.edu. You will find your student account information on the Student tab in the My Student Account channel in the portal.
    • Question: Will I have to have a user ID and password to access the myLongwood portal?
      • Answer: Yes, you will log on to the portal using your LancerNet ID and password.
    • Question: Will my student account information be sent to me in the mail?
      • Answer: No, your student account information will be available in the MyLongwood portal ONLY. This information WILL NOT be sent to you in the mail.
    • Question: Will I receive my account information via my Longwood email account?
      • Answer: You will receive notification via your Longwood email account when you need to address your account information in the portal.
    • Question: What is TouchNet?
      • Answer: TouchNet is a web based service that will provide online, self-service access to the student account, billing history, payment plans, and automated payment methods using your Visa or Master Card debit or credit) or drafts from bank accounts. TouchNet will be available to you via the myLongwood portal.
    • Question: Who can access my TouchNet account?
      • Answer: TouchNet will enable students to designate authorized users (parents, grandparents, guardians, etc) to access and manage their account.
    • Question: Will my authorized users access TouchNet via the myLongwood portal?
      • Answer: No, authorized users will enter TouchNet directly through a provided link. Access to the myLongwood portal requires a LancerNet ID and password, authorized users will be provided with a password directly into the TouchNet system.
    • Question: How do payments in TouchNet work?
      • Answer: TouchNet will allow you the opportunity to enroll in our new TouchNet Payment Plan. Payments can be made using your Visa or MasterCard (debit or credit) or draft from your checking or savings account.
    • Question: Can I make payments by check?
      • Answer: Longwood University may process paper checks electronically beginning with 2007 fall payments. If you deliver a check in-person, mail it to the college, or place in our drop box location, your paper check will be converted to an electronic Automated Clearing House (ACH) transaction.
    • Question: What if I prefer not to have my account electronically debited?
      • Answer: If you donít wish to have your account electronically debited, you must mail your payments to Longwood University Processing Center, 201 High Street, Farmville, Va. 23909.

      • Answer: The myLongwood calendar is a web based fully functional calendar that allows you to access, and manage your schedule from any Web-enabled device via the myLongwood portal.
    • Question: Will the myLongwood calendar sync with my Outlook calendar?
      • Answer: No, the myLongwood calendar is completely different from the Outlook calendar.
    • Question:  How do I access the calendar in myLongwood?    
      • Answer: To access the myLongwood calendar you must log in to the myLongwood portal and select the Calendar icon on the top right.    
    • Question: Can I share my myLongwood calendar?   
      • Answer: Yes, you can create your own calendars and share them with friends or colleagues. Note: The person that you are sharing with must also have access to the myLongwood portal.    
    • Question: What are some of the functions available in the calendar?    
      • Answer: Functionality in the myLongwood calendar includes creating multiple calendars, setting up events, creating tasks, calendar comparisons, sending invitations to other calendar users, and much more!

    • Question: What are myLongwood Groups?
      • Answer: MyLongwood Groups allow faculty, staff and student organizations at Longwood the ability to create and manage group homepages for clubs, organizations, and other affiliations and interests.
    • Question: What are some of the functions available in Groups?
      • Answer: Functionality available within a myLongwood Group includes announcements, news, calendar, chat, message board, file distribution, and more!
    • Question: How do I access Groups in myLongwood?
      • Answer: To access myLongwood Groups you must log in to the myLongwood portal and select the Groups icon on the top right.
    • Question: Who can request a myLongwood Group?
      • Answer: Longwood faculty and staff members can request a Group. Student organizations may also request a group; however, the request must originate from the organizationís advisor.
    • Question: How do I request a Group?
      • Answer: To request a Group you must complete the Group Request form. To access the form click on the Groups icon in the top right corner in myLongwood and click on Request Group.
    • Question: Where can I find more information on the functionality of myLongwood Groups?
      • Answer: More information and detailed instructions on how to use myLongwood Groups can be found in the Help section of the myLongwood portal.
