Route 66 Chapel
by Dr. Michael Lund, Professor of English

This is the seventh novel in his Route 66 series, based on his childhood in the 1950s along America’s most fabled highway. “When a landmark church is slated for destruction in Fairfield, Missouri, a half-dozen residents mount an eccentric campaign to save it,” Dr. Lund says of the book. “Like John Steinbeck’s ‘Mother Road,’ the little stone chapel has come to represent a fading way of life – slower in pace and more committed to community – that a younger generation is beginning to rediscover and to value.” Published by BeachHouse Publishing, softcover, 260 pages.
