Ruffner Hall and New Science Center receive design awards

The recently reconstructed Ruffner Hall and the new Science Center have received awards for outstanding building design.  Ruffner Hall earned an honorable mention award in the Seventh Annual Education Design Showcase and was featured in a two-page story in the June 2006 issue of College Planning & Management magazine.   Ruffner Hall and the Science Center were recognized in the August 2006 edition of American School and University magazine.  Ruffner Hall, which was rededicated in April 2005—almost four years to the date of the Great Fire of 2001—was awarded a bronze citation for interior renovation and the new Science Center earned recognition for outstanding laboratory design.  Clark Nexsen Architecture and Engineering provided architectural design services for the Science Center and Kuntz and Associates Architects provided design services for the reconstruction of Ruffner Hall.
