Richmond Symphony to perform Feb. 28 at Longwood
The Richmond Symphony Orchestra will perform Friday,
Feb. 28, at 8
p.m. in Longwood's Jarman Auditorium.
The Orchestra is under the direction of the renowned guest
conductor and violin soloist Jaime Laredo. The program includes four
of the
most popular works in the orchestral repertory: the Brandenburg Concerto
no. 4 and the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in A Minor, both by
J.S.
Bach, the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in C Major by Franz Joseph
Haydn, and the Symphony No. 29 K. 186 by W.A. Mozart.
Admission is $12 for the general public and $10 for Longwood
faculty/staff, senior citizens and local students. A group rate for
groups
of 10 or more school students is available. Tickets may be purchased
at the
door or in advance at the Jarman Box Office, open from 3:30 to 5:30
p.m.
