Recovery Underway
01 May 2001 Longwood College officials announced today that the Virginia State Police have released the campus buildings that were affected by the fire of April 24 to the supervision and responsibility of the college. According to Longwood President Patricia P. Cormier, "although the investigation continues, the college has been informed by state investigators that arson is not suspected. We are making a rapid recovery from this tragedy and Longwood College is returning to a normal fall and summer schedule." CONTACT: |
