Academic Program Award

Criteria:

  • Chapter should be above the all campus average.

  • Each Chapter needs an active officer who's main responsibility is scholastic enhancement.  Position must have a written job description, including specific responsibilities and duties.

  • Each Chapter needs to establish and maintain a detailed academic-scholarship program that includes:

    • Academic and scholastic programming regularly within the chapter

    • Minimum GPA Requirements for all chapter members, including new members and officers.

    • Written process that describes the consequences, sanction, or review of process for members who do not meet the academic standards set by the chapter and/or National Headquarters.

Service Award

Criteria:

  • Each chapter must elect/appoint a Community Service/Philanthropy chair who will coordinate all service projects.  Such a position has a written job description, including specific responsibilities and duties

  • Average of 10 hours of service per semester per member

  • Develop a semester long project, working with one agency or cause

  • Participate in one cooperative project (i.e. helping out at another chapter's event)

  • Participate in IFC/Panhellenic sponsored projects.

Leadership Award

Criteria:

  • Each chapter shall be an active member/participant of IFC or CPC.

  • Each chapter shall organize a minimum of one program each year that involves parents

  • All paperwork to IFC or CPC, as well as to OFSL,  shall be turned in a timely manner or the announced deadline.

  • Each chapter shall attend workshops hosted by the OFSL (i.e. President Roundtable, Recruitment Roundtables, New Member Programming)

  • Each chapter shall have a yearly executive board training/transition workshop for new officers

  • Each chapter shall define their own goals for the semester/year

  • Each chapter shall be in compliance with all University, governing council and National policies

Outstanding Chapter President

Criteria:

  • Serve as a role model (i.e. lead by example)

  • Each president shall attend President Roundtable hosted by the OFSL 

Greek Man and Woman of the Year
Criteria:
  • Participate in IFC/CPC/NPHC
  • Has made a significant contribution to the Greek community
  • Promotes unity within and outside the Greek community
New Member Program Award
Criteria:
  • Each chapter shall have a written New Member Education program, which describes the educational component of the chapter including what new members will be instructed to learn.
  • There is New Member Educator with a written description of the position responsibilities and expectations
  • New Member GPA will be at or above the All-Freshman GPA
Outstanding Chapter Advisor Award
Criteria: 
  • Attends meetings on a regular basis
  • Serves as a resource for chapter management and national policy
Outstanding Social Programming Award
Criteria:
  • 60% of the chapter membership is actively involved in at least one other activity at the University or in the community
  • Chapters must have a minimum of one program each semester that is co-sponsored with a non-Greek campus organization.  Programs can be educational, cultural, philanthropic, or social in nature and can be combined with other programming or service requirements.
  • Chapters participate in at least one campus event each semester
  • Chapters participate in at least one Intramural event each semester
  • There is an appointed officer/chair position for the chapter with a written description of the position responsibilities and expectations as it relates to campus involvement.
