LipSync
Every semester, new member classes of each IFC and CPC
organizations compete in a comical dance routine performed for
the Greek community. Lip Sync is a fundraiser for local
charities and also gives each chapter an opportunity to showcase
their new members; it takes place each semester and is eagerly
anticipated by all Greek organizations. The next one will be
held on October 9th, 2007 at 9pm in Jarman Auditorium.
LipSync is judged by favorite faculty and staff at Longwood. The
contestants compete to win coveted titles such as Best Dance,
Best Theme, Most Crowd Participation and Best Overall. While the
CPC organizations eagerly await the opportunity to strut their
stuff, the IFC groups usually just focus on bringing the comical
aspect to the competition - though fraternities have actually
won in the past.

This is from Theta Chi's LipSync from Fall 2006. These new
members won Most Crowd Participation and it is clear that they
worked hard to impress the audience. This is an excellent
example of a great LipSync - a mixture of fun songs that the
audience will love! Congratulations to all those who competed
and the Greek community looks forward to the performances in the
Spring!
