Communications Officer Melissa VanRomondt is a veteran of the Longwood University Police Department's Communications Center. Currently she is serving as the lead dispatcher overseeing the daily operations of the comunications center office. Melissa is a Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) instructor for the department. She also serves and is qualified as a Virginia Criminal Information Network (VCIN) instructor.

Melissa has been a member of Peaks Baptist Church for over 30 years. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. Melissa and her husband Melvin reside in Darlington Heights, VA with their son and two daughters, Tevin, Tasya and Shakyla.
