Sgt. Delbert Dove
Sgt. Delbert D. Dove has been serving as a Public Safety Officer for 29 years. Sgt D. Dove began his service with the Longwood University Police Department in 1982.
Sgt. Dove has served with the Department of Corrections, Department of Juvenile Justice, Prince Edward Sheriff’s Office, and the Hampden-Sydney Police Department. He has also been the Prince Edward County Resource Officer and D.A.R.E. instructor. Sgt. Dove continues to serve part time with Prince Edward Sheriff’s office and the Hampden- Sydney Police Department.
Sgt. Dove is an instructor in Criminal Justice, CPR/First Aid/AED, S.F.S.T., Advanced DUI/DUID, and Refuse to be a Victim. Sergeant Dove is a certified Crime Prevention Specialist. He is also a certified Field Training Officer.
Hobbies: spending time with his family, bowling, and exploring the mountains.
