Officer John Johnson
I have been with the LUPD as part time officer since 1996 and full time since 2001.
I attended Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy in 2001, and is a certified operator for the Intoxilyzer 5000. I am one of two certified Firearms instructors for the Longwood Police. I instruct basic police recruits using the F.A.T.S (training simulator) portion of their training. I attended and completed the Basic Investigators Course (for future opportunities) and the Background Investigations Course. I regularly attend any training opportunities to enhance my duties as a police officer.
I am a sworn deputy for the prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office whom I assist regularly. I assist the Criminal Justice Academy when possible with firearms training. I assist the Farmville Police Department as a participating member of the Tactical Unit. I am also a sworn deputy with Cumberland County sheriff’s Office.
